Steppe Metal Powder Makes Successful Debut at Metal Japan Expo, Featured in Leading Japanese Industrial Newspaper

CHIBA, JAPAN – October 2, 2026 – Steppe Metal Powder LLC (SMP), Mongolia’s pioneering metal powder manufacturer, proudly announces its successful participation at the Highly-Functional Material Week (Metal Japan Expo), held at Makuhari Messe from September 30 to October 2, 2026. Exhibiting jointly with its Japanese strategic partner, Joetsu Bronze1 Corporation (JCP), SMP officially introduced its high-quality water-atomized copper powder to the Japanese industrial market.

The partnership and joint exhibition garnered significant media attention, culminating in an exclusive feature in the October 1st edition of the Nikkan Sangyo Shimbun (Japan Metal Bulletin), one of Japan's most respected daily industrial newspapers.

The prominent article, headlined "JCP Secures Exclusive Distribution Rights for Mongolian SMP Copper Powder in Japan," highlighted the formal execution of an exclusive distribution agreement between the two companies. Under this pact, JCP will lead the domestic sales, new application development, and market exploration for SMP's products across Japan.

Four-Party Synergy & Core Strengths The publication emphasized the robust foundation of this commercial alliance, which builds upon a four-party comprehensive academic and industrial collaboration agreement signed in May 2026 involving SMP, JCP, the Nagaoka University of Technology, and the Mongolian University of Science and Technology.

The article lauded SMP's state-of-the-art facilities and highlighted its significant competitive advantage: the highly stable and secure procurement of copper raw materials backed by its affiliated company, Steppe Copper. It noted that this manufacturing strength pairs perfectly with JCP's deep expertise in copper alloys and its extensive domestic client network.

Leadership Vision During a joint press interview held directly at the exhibition booth, SMP Chief Executive Officer Askhar Bakyei and JCP President Koji Yamamoto discussed their shared vision for the future.

"Our primary goal for this exhibition is to directly listen to and understand the specific needs of the Japanese market," CEO Askhar Bakyei told the newspaper. "With our robust production capacity and the advantage of a stable raw material supply, we are fully prepared to adapt and expand our product offerings to meet the rigorous demands of Japanese customers."

President Yamamoto echoed this commitment, adding that JCP will actively leverage its knowledge and network to cultivate the market and co-develop new applications for SMP's advanced metal powders.

The joint showcase at Makuhari Messe attracted numerous industry professionals, representing a major milestone in SMP's global expansion strategy and cementing its position as a reliable supplier of premium metal powders to the world's most advanced technological markets.
